Most of us have beauty regimes. Cleanse, and moisture the face. Getting a hand and foot spa regularly. Having a full body massage with oils as often as possible. Placing on lotion on our arms and legs. But, what do most people do to take care of their neck? Is there a special neck beauty routine?
Considering the number of times we move our neck by simply looking to our right, left, up, or down, how exposed it is to the elements that contribute aging and how little care and attention we give it.
A wonderful neck makes you look attractive and extremely feminine.
When you are attending an elegant evening party or you have got a fabulous hairdo, your neck plays an equally important part in your overall look as your dress, makeup or accessories. In fact, there is nothing more feminine than a beautiful décolletage and a perfect neck valued by a proper dress.
The neck is one of those areas that can reveal your true age!
Many people are more concerned with lines and wrinkles on the face, and may actually need more attention than the skin on your face. Your neck skin is thinner, more sensitive than the skin on your face and just as prone to changes in pigment, elasticity, and texture―and, yes, to wrinkles. Aging brings on a slew of skin changes, including neck wrinkles. Your skin loses elasticity through years of sun exposure and normal changes in hormone levels. The skin on your neck area may sag more than facial skin, which is sometimes called a turkey neck. Remember your neck has fewer oil glands than your face, but it’s exposed to the same elements, so proper skincare, antioxidant protection and sunscreen are of utmost importance. Without these protections, fines lines with grainy texture and criss-crossed lines will soon emerge. As any other part of the body, the neck also needs cleaning, but sometimes the skin is even more dry than the one on the face, so, instead of water and soap it is recommended the use of a gentle cleanser, which will help moist the skin.
Why do we need a special cream for the neck?
We need to apply firming products to firm the skin around the neck. A standard anti age cream may be too heavy for the delicate neck area and may pull and drag the skin more. The neck has the most delicate skin, the thinnest on the entire body, so it is much more susceptible to damage and deterioration. That’s why it is important to use specific neck cream that formulated for your neck rather than your traditional face products.
Like so many other things in life, it’s the little things that count!
What is the point of having a young and fresh look if the skin on your neck is loose and mottled? So, don’t ignore neck area because like face it is the most observed area on our body.
